I bought 3 of these packs: One for myself, my wife, and a friend of mine. I was excited to receive them. The convenience of amazon fulfillment with the order is nice. I have taken the pack out, fully loaded, on a 4.5 mile hike. I really liked the way it sits. It didn’t sag or droop once I started to break a good sweat. I love the style, look, and feel of the material. It holds all I need and then some. I would highly recommend this product for the quality, the service, and the causes this company supports. Purchased through my wife’s account as she has Prime in case people have questions and it probably not saying verified purchase. Found out about Duraton through Instagram. Became VIP and got $5 off. Packaging was nice. No issues with the shipping.First impressions are very good. Came with a little gift! The gift was at least an extra $10. Everything so far appears great, stitching, zippers, buckles, etc.The only con for me is that the side pockets don’t reach around my side as much as I would like. They should be closer to my front pockets, but they are a bit further back towards my hips. I am 5’10. 200lbs. 34″waist.Also, glad they included the rain cover. I almost didn’t see it!Will try to add photos.

Great backpack for boy scouts
I decided to buy this backpack because it made from a Veteran owned company in the USA; part of the purchase of their products goes toward Wounded Warrior Project. My dad is also a veteran so I knew this company was worth supporting. My son needed a backpack for a week long boy scout camp and the pack is big enough for all his clothes and other items he needs to bring. I had checked in several stores and could not see the point of buying him a $200.00 pack made in China. Best Backpack Ever Owned!
I bought this backpack for my husband for work (he’s an electrician) and for snowboarding trips and my husband is in love! He says it’s the most comfortable backpack he’s ever known AND the best quality! He loves the numerous pockets, style and the option of having the hydration bag. For a 50L backback at about $50 price, this Duraton backpack is an incredible value. The build is solid with well thought out design. I love all of the compartments and gear holders. It even includes a rain cover and a water bladder compartment. I’ll be using this for weekend backpack trips and the 50L size will be perfect for a 2 or 3 day trip. Plus this company is a Veteran Owned Small Business so I am glad to help support our Veterans.

UNBELIEVABLE BAG!
This bag was perfect! I hiked the Camino de Santiago in Spain and it work and functioned perfectly. As you can see from the photo, I’m a “big” guy 6’1″ and weigh enough. This bag was ABUSED! It was loaded, packed, stuffed, thrown around, zippered, and unzipped. And that was just one day of 25 days! This occurred over and over for 25 days and this bag was perfect. I had an Osprey before. It was heavy and didn’t hold up. This bag comes with a rain cover (Osprey, that’ll cost you another $32 bucks!) And it works as a carry-on. Look at the picture and believe me; this bag was FULL and ABUSED for 25 days and never had an issue. Not one seam came loose, no strap issues, nothing. BUY IT! It’s worth every penny!

I came across Duraton backpacks while searching for an upgrade to my son’s Deuter Fox 30. We have been very happy with the quality build of several Deuter packs through hiking, camping, and travels, but he had outgrown this pack. Brand loyalty comes with a greater and greater price, and that is a determining factor with three sets of gear to maintain. I do appreciate quality, and buying well ~once~ has always been key to final selection.A second influence is your military background and company goals – glad to help support your efforts!!Pack arrived and we are very impressed with the build and features – well beyond the heritage-brand options we’d considered (45L to 50L). Versital – Gets the job done
Not much to dislike and and a lot to be pleased with. I used this pack for an weekend trip with my family. It fit all my needs for a summer backpacking trip. The pack is very well made (and made in the US)! No issues with zipper, clip or strap functionality. The elasticized weather shield over the lower compartment zipper made using this zipper a bit awkward to use. Fully loaded with about 26 pounds of gear, it carried easily. Micro adjustments to the shoulder straps kept it comfortable. I am an older, 5′ 7″, 190 lb retiree. Have not backpacked in literally decades, but had the opportunity to join my grandson, daughter & husband, and son on a short trip. The pack met my needs and was certainly affordable. Hope to use it again next year.

Purchased to use on a back packing trip to Europe… one zipper broke before I even left… I also didnt realize there was no way to lock this bag closed! Huge when you are backpacking! The shoe pocket is also a little confusing … I wear a size 5 and they never sat in there right it also takes up too much room inside your bag. By the end of my trip all except one zipper was broken and all the seams were exposed! My travel buddy purchased a backpack off Amazon $40 cheaper same size capacity and we decided to put my stuff in her bag to see if it fit and she still had room to put all her own shoes in the bag after all my stuff! I’d save $40 and get the cute colored stretchy lightweight backpacks like she did.

I like to use backpacks for traveling, I just feel that they are a more convenient option when practical. Luckily for me, it looks like I found the perfect backpack. This backpack is both lightweight and has tons of space. It also has several separate storage areas within the backpack, which is great for traveling, hiking, or whatever you may be doing! Great first timer pack for long treks
I just returned from hiking the Dingle Way Peninsula in Ireland. This pack worked out fantastic! So functional and just the right amount of room for all the items I needed to shlep with me from town to town. The creators were very thoughtful in their plan of this pack. The material very durable. Really wanted to love this backpack. pro Value – has same amount of storage and comfort of a high end backpack Design – loved all the pocket locations and tightening straps Hydration sleeve- inside theres an extra sleeve to slide in a hydration bladder, worked very well and has a hose clip on should strap for easy accesscon Durability – is not quite there – Have used it for a total of 6 flights (as a carry on) and somewhere around 8-10 miles of hiking. SO far i have had 1 zipper actually break into 2 pieces, stitching has come completely undone on the inside zipper making it unusable without tearing more. Most importantly the stitching on the main clip that holds the top rucksack flap down is being held on my 1 or 2 stitches at the moment. It would tear if i filled it full. I have not been overly rough with it by any means but light-moderate use has really pulled the stitching out of a lot of seems. Comfort – I stand at 6’1” which might be a little tall for this . Its well padded but doesnt sit on my lower back the way i would like it to. Sits just a little high.

I purchased this backpack a month or two back. I wanted to put it through the paces before I reviewed it to confirm durability and in the field use. This is a great pack backpack at twice the price and for less than $100 it’s an absolute steal.Let’s start with the one downside – there are a lot of straps, fasteners, and features that accompany this and without some familiarity with backpacks it might be a bit overwhelming. I gave it to my wife to look at and provide feedback and she was a bit lost at the start. She figured it out quickly because it’s a backpack and not assembling furniture but there is a lot to take in.The Pro’s are many but here are a few: 1) the emergency para-cord bracelet has to be worth a few bucks and it’s thrown in for free 2) it is hydration compatible so you can buy a bladder of your choice to put inside the pack. This probably saved me $40 in upcharges from other manufacturers 3) multiple access points and rain cover for ease of access and protection from elements and 4) heavy duty construction for a backpack at this price. It’s pretty light weight but the construction is solid. I’m guessing if you aren’t spending a ton on marketing you can pass the savings on to the end customer.Finally, I just took an overseas trip and used this backpack as my carry on. I had it full, but not stuffed, and didn’t have any issues with fitting it in the overhead or meeting the dimension requirements. I was very happy with the performance of the backpack as I wondered around urban environments and it held up well when I loaded it with a ton of weight to move some bottles of wine from the store back to my hotel. That is a lot of weight on material and shoulder straps.

I went on a trip to Europe for 10 days and I used it as a carry-on. we never had problems with it on the airplane. But there are two pockets on the top and the division broke the second day of use, I got the orange. Other than that, it worked perfectly and the best of all it holds 7 days of clothes, hygiene bag, extra shoes, everything from my canon camera, all my souvenirs, jacket, and a blanket. I got a black one for my mom and after the trip, it still looks like new. As you can see in the pics it does not look big at all. I recommend it.

One strap broke and a zipper pull came right off in my hands during packing. It was the day before the trip, so I was unable to return item. While backpacking, it served its purpose, but I was overly cautious to make sure that no more pieces came off.

Great Pack
I live and hunt in Pennsylvania which requires hunter orange for big game hunting. I purchased this pack for it’s orange color and, more importantly, it’s size and features. Hunted out of it yesterday and was very impressed with it’s fit and function. Fit all my gear, heavy coat, backpack stove, fuel, game calls, binoculars, etc… with ease. My only suggestion for a hunting pack, would be to have a quieter exterior, but I do realize this pack is geared more towards backpacking and as such it is a great bag.

A Truly Impressive Backpack…..
I bought this pack with my own money, I usually don’t write a lot of reviews, but I am impressed with this bag. This review is from my personal experience with this particular bag.I had a much larger “higher end” backpack that is AWESOME…..I had a much smaller daypack that was shoulder carry only. I haven’t backpacked in a while and wanted something better than my daypack but smaller than my larger pack…..something that would get me ready to start backpacking again and get me out comfortably on an overnight. This pack is it!FOR THE PRICE……this pack is pretty impressive. I currently have it loaded at 24 pounds, and it carries well. It looks decent out on the trail and it even has an integral rain cover. It loads easily, unloads as easily, with a ‘lower pack’ zipped opening. It has a decent back pad and hip pads. Plenty of exterior pockets to throw frequently used items in and a lot of ties and cinches to attach things to on the exterior.Cosmetically, it looks very nice; it appears to be made well. The colors are vivid, and it looks like a much higher end pack. Again, I am packing 24 pounds to get me back where I can carry a pack; but I have probably carried it fully loaded 20-30 miles and I have no reason to believe it will quit on me anytime soon. I would definitely buy this bag again and I would definitely encourage all of my friends, if they needed a more ‘moderately priced’ bag, to get this one!PROS:1. The colors are very pleasing.2. Very well made.3. Plenty of room, especially if you pack light!4. Plenty of pockets.5. Plenty of lashings/tie attachments.6. Integral rain cover.7. Hip pads are up to the job.8. It weighs 3lbs 3.4 oz NOT 2.5 lbs
This is likely a great pack. But when it arrived I weighed and realized that the shipping weight of 2.5lbs was nearly 1lb lighter than the actual pack. So be ready for that 3lb 3.4oz empty weight. I tend toward ultra light or 2 to 3 lbs max so this was a shock. That said, it seems bomb proof so going to France with this pack is probably perfect.

So disappointed in this pack. Used backcountry camping at Big Bend this weekend based on the great reviews and strap fasteners broke, canvas ripped at seams and zippers were difficult to open and close. I’m getting a refund and I’m sure they will try to make it right but this isn’t a durable pack, don’t suggest it at all.

I used this bag as my carry on while flying with multiple airlines, fits perfectly in the overhead bins sideways and long ways. I had the bag maxed out to the point I could barely put anything else in. Held up strong. Hip straps aren’t long enough for me because I’m 6’2″.

I love this pack! It is super light weight. I have taken it internationally four times, as well as backwoods hiking here in the States, and it is still in great condition. I had to re-stitch part of the seam on the top compartment one time, but other than that, it has held up great. It holds way more than I thought. I was able to pack for 2 1/2 months in Africa in this and my day pack. Also, I’m about 5’11/6 ft tall and it is a great size for me.

The buckles, and zippers broke right away, it is a cheap backpack, but it is not durable at all. You get what you pay for. If your just doing a couple day hike it would be ok. If you’re doing a 2 month trip, like I am, with a full backpack, avoid this one. Just suck it up and buy and osprey or a north face.

Seems like a great bag, but unfortunately the front stitching has already come undone. We have been using it for our European trip and this is our 3rd day. I wish it was reinforced a bit more in the stitching. It is mainly stuffed with clothes but that seems to be too much for it. Everything else on the bag is great.

We bought this for day hiking in Big Bend. Very large day-pack, clearly suitable for short overnight hikes and ski-touring. I love the price and quality, hugely impressed as I have been a buyer/user of quality gear (and plenty of disposable/cheapo stuff for sure) for 40 years. The great gear I’ve found lasted a long time- regardless of price point. Happy to have found this company and their gear, hoping it wears well. Off to Yellowstone for a true field test.

I am a beginner backpacker so didn’t want to spend much until I KNEW I wanted to invest more in backpacking. So this was my starter pack…I’m 5’4” female 150lbs and fit my frame perfectly. Was perfect for many overnight backpacking adventures!! And many more to come!
